Each afternoon, children in a specific grade (K-5) are removed from the larger group for an afternoon of cooperative games and activities planned just for that age group. Clubs are supervised by the same two staff members , who are responsible for preparing grade-appropriate curriculum. Club time consists of gym games, a special snack, homework time, and a planned activity. Children who are enrolled in Fifth Grade Club on Wednesday afternoons enjoy off-site field trips, Service-Learning projects, and special programs and speakers here at MEDC. 

'MEDC Kids Club Helpers' ~ At the beginning of the school year all children at MEDC in grades 1-5 are encouraged to be 'club helpers'. Club helpers assist staff and younger children in the facilitation of games, snack set up, and activities. Helpers must agree to and sign a contract promising to act as positive role models for younger children at MEDC.
